Comments:

I am interested in merchandising or an assistant position (personal, production or tour assistant). I have worked both on the corporate side of the music business (in radio for over eight years), as well as in the independent side - helping local bands for several years. I have handled advances, merchandising, promotions, street teams and photogrpahy.

My strengths range from managing all the details of major events to keeping projects on schedule and under budget. I thrive on process, projects and excellence and take great pride in hearing that clients are at ease when they learn that I am handling their promotional campaign. I am highly skilled at organization, promotions and event execution. I am very detail-oriented, hard working, enthusiastic and thorough. I would greatly appreciate the chance to get out on the road and work really hard for your band!

Objective:

Many years various music and concert industry experience - ready to transition to a full time tour position

Highlights of Qualifications:

I have worked both on the corporate side of the music business (in radio for over eight years), as well as in the independent side - helping local bands for several years. I have handled advances, merchandising, promotions, street teams and photogrpahy.

Through my time on tour last summer with Bleu and The Everyday Visuals and my 4+ years of helping Violet Nine is so many ways, I feel like I need to check this touring avenue out. When I think back to the last eight years I have worked in radio, the one thing that comes to mind that I enjoyed the most, was working onsite at the signature radio station concert events. I enjoy being the point person on site at shows. I enjoy being the liaison between the artist and the venue, or the artist and the fans, or the artists and the radio station, or whoever it is who needs access to the artist... I LOVE being that person! And when I picture myself in this role, I know I would be really good at it!

  Work History
I think ultimately, I am looking to road/ tour manage, but I am thinking that getting on the road in a merch position would be a good way for me to learn the ropes and see how I feel being out there - on the road.

I have done merch mostly at the club level (600 capacities), but have worked several college shows, which were much larger (a couple thousand capacities). Some of the bands I have done merch for are: Violet Nine, Bleu, The Everyday Visuals, Taxpayer, Hepburn, Will Dailey @ The Rivals and The Lincoln Conspiracy.
