Touring Personnel
Directory & Resumes Help |
| Many have asked " Do you
think anybody looks at these listing and will I get a job by listing here? |
- I KNOW that if you don't create a listing,
you can be sure NO ONE will see it!!!
- I think that it is quite
obvious that no one will ever get hired solely on a resume that has been
published to the internet! But, it is handy to be able to point someone to
an internet resume page so that they can quickly view/print something
24/7 without the need for fax machines.

- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the save

- Clicking the save button should notify you that Record

- If it does not say that, then it has taken you back to
the form because you did not fill in ALL the required fields.
- Those required fields are now high lighted in pink to
make sure you NOTICE them. Scroll slowly from the top of the form to the
bottom, completing the required fields as you go.
- When you reach the bottom, click the "Register button!

"thanks you for registering".
- If it did thank you for registering
AND you don't see your listing, the cache settings on your browser are
preventing a screen refresh. Do so manually. If this doesn't work, email
me:

| About the difference between a
Touring Personnel Directory Listing and a full CV Resume. |
- They are one in the same record.
- The resume is just some added memo fields
- You cannot create a Resume and not have a Tour
Personnel Directory listing.
- Why, because they share the same data and the main
fields are shared by both.
- How will someone viewing the Directory know if there is
expanded Resume information with the Directory listing? Simple:
- There is a field named "Resume", it is a calculated
field that = "No" if there is 6 or less characters present with in the Objective
field
- It's value changes to "Yes", when there are
greater than 6 characters present.
- I display that resume field in the directory list. If
Resume= "Yes", click on the name of the person and you will be
taken to the Resume Display of that person!

-
Beware that the resume memo fields allow you to
enter as much data as you wish and will expand on display to what you have
entered.
-
There are about 77 characters per line
(browser/resolution/font/dependent)
-
Always experiment by entering in some data and
then checking the display page . See my example:

-
When creating lists, multiple spaces or tabs are
NOT recognized so using , --- dashes ---, ****** Stars ***** can help
create the separation you are looking for!

These resumes are posted free of charge to anyone with touring

have yet to reject one).
